Introducing the “Behind the Scenes” Video Series

As a Missouri History Museum graduate assistant and student of Museum Studies, I simply soak up the Behind the Scenes posts here on History Happens Here. When walking through any museum, it can be easy to forget that every object—whether on display or in storage—has an unseen team of people behind it. In addition to the historical figures who may have actually made or used any artifact, the curators, staff, interns, and volunteers who preserve, research, and display the objects have their own viewpoints to offer.
